Updated Information on long clock change - 29 October for delivery 30 October
28th October 2011 09:28
In addition to our message of 24th October, the ITVC project partners would like to inform market parties that final tests to mitigate possible adverse flows due to the long clock change in hours 3A and 3B have been finalized successfully. The new deployment of the new ITVC coupling software has been validated with the new routines:
Routine 1: In hour 3A and hour 3B, equal flows on the ITVC interconnectors have to be sent to Nord Pool Spot and to EPEX. In case of two different values, the EMCC system will select the lower value for these two hours.
Routine 2: In hour 3A and hour 3B, the flow direction on the interconnectors has to be identical. If there is a flow from North to South in one hour and from South to North in the consecutive hour, the EMCC system will calculate a zero flow for both hours.
In case the above-mentioned routines fail, the current ITVC process will be applied. In accordance with this process, in case of technical failures and upon agreed timeline, appropriate fallback solutions will be performed.
The ATC values for day ahead allocation on Baltic Cable for the hours 2, 3A, 3B and 4 will be set to zero in case the normal ITVC process is applied.
Please note that this communication is sent for information purposes to the market parties. It does not pertain to the way the participants of the PXs are submitting orders on hours 3A and 3B, which is governed by the rules of the respective PXs.
